Trombone Choir
A trombone choir in Singapore?
Yes, a trombone choir in Singapore! In September 2007 we were finally successful after a few attempts: We had enough musicians together, we met for the first rehearsal and the trombone choir Singapore was born.
In the meantime, many years have passed, much has changed, but we are still approx. 14 wind players who meet (almost) every Wednesday evening at the German European School Singapore (GESS) to make music. In recent years, the music room on the main campus on Bukit Tinggi Road was our "home", after the 2018 holidays we moved to the new campus of the school on Dairy Farm Road.
Another change is that we have had to do without conductors for a year, an interim solution was unfortunately not lasting. But even so we were able to complete all our planned performances, although last year great "highlights" such as a concert or a trip to Malaysia, Indonesia or Germany were missing.

We can be heard at divine services, including on Christmas Eve, confirmation in May and at the ecumenical end-of-school service. At the community festivals of the two German-speaking communities we were able to perform our entertainment repertoire and we accompanied the St. Martin procession, which was organised by the Catholic community, with lantern songs. But we are also in demand outside the two German-speaking parishes: At the Christmas bazaar of the Norwegian and Swedish communities we played Scandinavian Christmas music and at an Oktoberfest performance our beer tent repertoire was in demand. With these different styles, there is something for every musician.
We look forward to you joining us!
